La galleria Mimmo Scognamiglio è lieta di presentare Punteggiato di luce, giaceva lì, scintillante, mostra collettiva che vede interagire per la prima volta negli stessi spazi espositivi le tre giovani artiste Anna Bochkova, Evgeniya Pankratova e Chiara Ressetta con le loro più recenti realizzazioni.

Il titolo della mostra vuole evocare l'immagine di uno specchio o una superficie d'acqua riflettente, che nella storia delle immagini hanno sempre avuto poteri soprannaturali. Le credenze popolari attribuiscono allo specchio il potere di materializzare il passato e il futuro, eventi lontani, oggetti o esseri nascosti; sarebbe insomma un occhio magico in grado di vedere ciò che è invisibile all'occhio umano. Lo specchio è qui il pretesto per discutere le diverse stratificazioni degli oggetti e di come questi aggiungano ulteriori livelli narrativi rivelando le verità nascoste dei contesti nei quali si inseriscono. Così come lo specchio, sono diversi gli oggetti che racchiudono una moltitudine di significati simbolici e, volontariamente o involontariamente, le artiste qui in mostra utilizzano l'iconografia dell'oggetto per poter aprire un dialogo tra esperienza personale e simboli collettivi.

All'interno dei lavori delle tre giovani artiste, è dunque sempre l'oggetto che racchiude la conoscenza sostanziale di ciò che è nascosto e degli effetti altrimenti non visti. Specchi affettivi che comunicano i nostri stati d'animo in modo tale che l'immagine porti l'uno verso l'altro.

Galleria Mimmo Scognamiglio is pleased to present Punteggiato di luce, giaceva lì, scintillante, a group exhibition that sees the three young artists Anna Bochkova, Evgeniya Pankratova and Chiara Ressetta interacting for the first time in the same exhibition space with their most recent works.

The title of the exhibition is intended to evoke the image of a mirror or a reflecting surface of water, which in the history of images have always had supernatural powers. Popular beliefs attribute to the mirror the power to materialise the past and the future, distant events, hidden objects or beings; it would, in short, be a magic eye capable of seeing what is invisible to the human eye. The mirror is here the pretext to discuss the different stratifications of objects and how they add further narrative layers by revealing the hidden truths of the contexts in which they are inserted. Just like the mirror, there are various objects that contain a multitude of symbolic meanings and, voluntarily or involuntarily, the artists in the exhibition use the iconography of the object to open a dialogue between personal experience and collective symbols.

Within the works of the three young artists, it is therefore always the object that holds the substantial knowledge of what is hidden and the otherwise unseen effects.

Affective mirrors that communicate our states of mind in such a way that the image leads one towards the other.
